Since 1991 Sunshine and Moonbeam Jones have traveled the world, singing songs and making sounds with live percussionists, guest toasters, dancers, and dreamers to bring live electronic music to the fields, beaches, warehouses and basements and open up your mind, your heart, and bring something beautiful into being.
ALBUM DISCOGRAPHY
Dubtribe's 5th full length release.
After a decade of devotion and dedication to the movement of free thinkers, electronic music, peace, love and unity, directing everything they did for the good of the main, Sunshine and Moonbeam turned inward, now married, and parents, they had questions about themselves, and about eachother. This is the first record which was not devoted to the cause, but rather an exercise in self-reflection and a search for meaning and continuity in a world which had wildly changed.
Baggage is a love letter to each other.

Our 4th full length album, and at last a successful 1997-1998 tour with Doc Martin's marvelous Unlock The House tour, where all of this material was developed, and then it was back to the Dubtribe House to start Imperial DUB Recordings, and track the material we'd been playing on the road. A full season was spent with the talented Marc Rosenberg as our tracking engineer, and the mighty Primo Navaro as our lead percussionist, then we sat down, and mixed the record ourselves. A truly remarkable collaboration of many creative and beautiful people went in to making this, at last, a successful studio recording of what we had been doing out in the wild for years. A record to be truly proud of.

The lost album.
We spent all of 1994 - 1995 touring hard, trying out new music and spreading our wings live. That was how we did things, live first, and then recordings. This material was earned in every corner of the world with all of our hearts.
When we finally got home it was time to record. The abum, just as the mixdown was ready to take place, was erased completely in a hard drive accident. We toured in 1995 for an album that would never be released. A hard year, a challenging tour, a big huge change.
When we were finally back on Bryant Street in San Francisco the only thing to do was to try to recover these pieces, and release a version of the material which reflected what the previous two years had meant to us. A very different album.
There was one single - Funky Back Home - which was released in its original form. It reflects the fury and focus of the album which was lost.
But this collection of songs was a personal reflection on loss, and our own attempt at healing ourselves and each other with love and forgiveness.

Our debut album. Originally a strange three LP and still incomplete set of the songs from this album. The idea was that if you got the LP version of the album, added the singles, then you would have the whole thing and more on vinyl. A silly idea... this was intended as the listening version of the singles for road trips and living room get togethers.
